Wahclella Falls Hike, Oregon

01.09.22 - We actually planned on hiking the Multnomah Falls to Wahkeena Falls Loop on this day but the trailhead we planned to start at was closed due to construction from the mudslides on the previous week. Once we realized the exit was closed, we were going to have to backtrack about 20 minutes to the alternate trailhead. We had to continue East on I-84 and when we got to the exit to turnaround, we realized this was the exit for the Wahclella Falls hike! So, we decided, we're here - why not do this one??
We last did this hike almost a year ago (on Feb 27, 2021), but it's a great one that was worth doing again.
This hike is about 2 miles round-trip with very little elevation gain. It's an out & back hike.
Pass: You will need either a NW Forest Pass ($5 day pass) or the America The Beautiful (National Park) Pass will cover it as well.
This hike features the Wahclella Falls waterfall at the end, but if the season is right, you will find many waterfalls along the way. It's a beautiful trail along the river and it perfectly represents the green PNW vibe.
