about wanderweg roasting
I really want to share my coffee with others and that is why I decided to start Wanderweg Coffee Roasting. The story of the name "Wanderweg" came from our trip to Switzerland last Fall. During our first hike (I got us lost for a while), we finally came across a trail sign that read "wanderweg" with an arrow pointing toward another path. I figured, 'great, we'll follow the wanderweg trail.' About 5 minutes later, we see another split in the trail with 2 more signs for the 'wanderweg' trail, but they were pointing different directions, which confused us. We finally found our way after about an hour of being lost. It was not til a couple days later and seeing multiple 'wanderweg' signs all over Switzerland that we realized 'wanderweg' means "hiking trail" in German! And there we thought, we were just on the 'Wanderweg' trail.
I started roasting my own coffee in January this year (2020). Over the past 5 months, I have experimented with different varieties of coffee and different roasts. I have been exclusively drinking my own coffee since then and I am now a true believer that the coffee I drink everyday must be fresh. It makes a huge difference that I never realized til recently.
For now, I will only be selling 1/2 pound bags and I am trying to keep the cost as low as possible. I am roasting every batch to order.
If you're looking for delicious, fresh roasted, whole bean coffee, I would love for you to give Wanderweg Roasting a try.
